$150.00

Intro to Cyanotype
Workshop with Guest Artist Eric William Carroll
July 26, 2026 | 10:00am – 3:00pm
Class tuition includes all materials

Discover the art of cyanotype in this hands-on introductory workshop exploring one of photography’s oldest and most magical processes. Using found objects, plants, and materials gathered on-site, students will create striking cameraless images defined by the rich, iconic blue tones of cyanotype.

Throughout the session, you’ll learn how to mix and handle cyanotype chemistry, apply it to paper using a range of coating techniques, and expose your prints using both natural sunlight and artificial light sources. Emphasis will be placed on experimentation, composition, and embracing the unexpected qualities that make this process so engaging.

Designed with accessibility in mind, this workshop offers a simple and rewarding entry point into photographic printmaking. Everything you learn can be easily translated into a home studio with minimal equipment. No experience is necessary, though those familiar with cyanotype will find new approaches and inspiration.
